This is a 'stripped' version of the SX-110 - it lacks the S-meter, antenna trimmer and crystal filter but has gained an internal speaker. The bandpsread scale is horizontal across the face whilst the tuning scale is circular. This combination is an aesthetically pleasing one.

The bandspread scale itself gives accurate staion finding for the ranges: 3.5 - 4; 7 - 7.3; 14 - 14.4; 20.1 - 21.5 and 26 - 30MHz.
