This is the upgraded version of the S-85 and features an S-meter, antenna trimmer, variable selectivity and crystal filters to distinguish it from the lower model. There appear to have been versions with plastic, backlit dials or aluminium, top-lit dials but the plastic one is more common.

This is a really catching design - in a 1950's 'high-tech' kind of way and is one of my favourite 'Hallis'..
