This is a very sturdy piece of equipment by Advance Instruments, England - a timer and frequency counter. It has an effective range of up to 32MHz and can resolve time periods from 0.00001 to 999,999 seconds (a hundredth-thousand of a second to 11.5 days!)

It has three inputs - which may be used for subtractive or additive counting - one of which has variable sensitivity (of 1V, 100mV and 10mV) and a 250V input rating - this makes it suitable for use with tube powered gear.

Although it has a nixie tube display it is, in fact, a solid-state instrument and is very reliable.
